A youth development charity

Activate Community Project is a charity to serve children from the ages of eight upwards within Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We offer sporting, coaching, arts & crafts activities, we also look to deliver skills based experiences to increase capabilities and opportunities in a child's life.

In short its about fun and development!

Activate Community Project is about bringing children together, getting them out of home, or away from screens, to interact with other children, be part of teams, have a little competition and learn and discover things that they normally wouldn’t.

Activities

We are initially conducting simple fun activities like football and other sports as well as arts, crafts, cooking, drama and nature club. As this is a new charity, once we receive donations and access grants we will be able to offer further activities that develop skills and interests like Lego engineering, electric circuits, graphic design, and pottery to name just a few.

Launch event

This charity will officially launch on the 2nd of July, and we’ll do with a five-a-side football tournament. This will be conducted in two groups, a over 8’s to under 16’s group and then an over 16’s group. In total there will be only 16 teams, with a £50 per team registration cost, all proceeds go to Activate, so register your interest below.

All of this is either offered for free or for a nominal donation. We really wish to help facilitate these activities for those from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, but not exclusively. If you would like to support us don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Volunteer your skills and time

Getting grounded

One of the main things that helps children develop, and there has been lots of studies on this, is yoga and meditation. It really helps children calm their minds and provide focus. This is especially important for children who often struggle to regulate their emotions or feelings.
